The Role of Shiftleader

As Shiftleader, together with the management team, you lead the team and are responsible for the daily operations. You actively work on the floor, are visible to guests and colleagues and ensure that service, processes and team development are aligned.

You set the right example in service, cooperation and compliance with house rules. At the same time, you pay attention to developing colleagues and creating a safe, professional working environment in which colleagues can grow. These are often colleagues and trainees taking their first steps in the Dutch labor market.

What will you do?

Leading & coaching
– Managing and coaching the team during the shift
– Really getting to know team members and paying attention to individual development
– Setting the right example in hospitality and service
– Working with and within a diverse team with different backgrounds
– Working with the team on growth and continuity

Guest experience & service

– Actively greet guests and have a visible presence on the floor
– Deal with complaints and proactively provide solutions
– Upsell and make suggestions at the table
– Provide consistent, warm and professional service

– Experience in hospitality and floor leadership
– Coaching, empathetic and clear communication style
– Strong guest focus and organizational acumen
